Featuring the control buttons at the centre, the PLEIO flaunts 128MB of storage capacity, but the supplementary album art attribute defers you from storing as much files as your regular 128MB MP3 player does. No exact words on pricing and availability. Apart from the digital album art quirk that seems bit innovative, there is nothing much to boast about the PLEIO player.

Linux has been running on Apple iPods in full functionality. But the question arises that can we make the OS run on Zune as well…? According to ‘Mys Videl’ a fearless individual it does. The individual claims to have successfully loaded the OS on his Zune and has posted the story on ZuneBoards. We all know that the processor of the multimedia player, Freescale iMX31L can run the OS. Videl has not yet posted any details on how to change the OS of the player. But he has confirmed that the player was able to boot while synced and had limited capabilities. He has also commented that he will release the full details as open source once the procedure is fully functional.

i-stations Upgraded Mini Players with FM and Lots More…
A couple of months ago i-station launched its fabulous mini players and has now added some additional features to these players and launched its upgraded models. Mini DX pocket media player carries the same old 2.4-inch LCD, T-DMB and is available in 1,2 and 4 GB capacities. This new player adds on some essential features desired by the consumers which were missing in Company’s original Mini players. FM tuner, USB host support and a microSD slot are the new features added to the device. This means a lot more entertainment. The player is not available for U.S. market and has different price tags for different configurations. The 1GB player should be going for 198,000 KRW (about $213 US), while the 2GB version hits 248,000 KRW (about $267 US).
