Seriously, I didn’t feel like believing the rumor of Apple going to announce touchscreen iPod today. But now, ThinkSecret has added a note that reliable sources have added that there will not be an iPod update this week. Simply, why the heck Apple will release a touchscreen iPod to steal all the charm of their hyped iPhone? Anyhow, we might expect a 6G iPod later this year.

Rumor of Apple iPod can be a rumor but actually it is the truth of tomorrow. The rumor actually intrigues the people out here so much that they have started deliberating obsolete things. It is inimical to say something like that, it is not possible that Apple can made such device. Apple is known for it’s high quality technology and released the 5G iPod last year with video playback. Veritably, techno savvy people must be awaiting for the new touch screen iPod. Knowingly, the size of the Apple’s next device will have a 3.5-inch display (the current 5G iPod has a 2.5-incher) and will shed the clickwheel entirely for a virtual UI with input via a touchscreen. They have even got it patented and have presumably been doing the dev work to make it happen (their last patent specifically showed an iPod-like virtual clickwheel touch interface in spec). The launch of a product is at the acme and expected late in the March or early April, on the celebration of 30th birthday of the Apple Apple celebrates its 30th birthday.
I fully agree with you Aruna but I think Apple is not that dumb that it will release the touchscreen iPod anywhere close to the launch of iPhone.
