We knew they were coming and now, they are here! Teasers are taken back now and Archos has taken wraps off its 5th generation portable media players. The company claims the new PMPs to offer easy access to content and personalization options to fit individual lifestyles.
The Archos Gen 5 includes the Archos 105 that features 1.8-inch OLED screen with 160 x 128-pixel resolution, Archos 405 with 3.5-inch screen and 2 GB of onboard flash memory with an SD slot, Archos 605 featuring 4.3-inch touchscreen with 800 x 480 pixels and memory capacity of up to 160GB, and finally, the Archos 705 that boasts a large 7-inch touchscreen with Wi-Fi net access to stream videos and pictures. The 405 can output to your television while the 705 plays more formats than any other in the 5th iteration.
Pricing for the Archos 605 starts at $170 while the pricing of the others in the line hasn’t been disclosed.
