The so called revolutionary iPhone has changed things not only for you but also for Apple. If you are going to buy an iPod in the recent future then I think you should wait for some time as some analysts believe that Apple should soon roll out a touchscreen iPod.
Analysts believe that the iPod should go touchscreen by 2008. This will be the sixth-generation of iPods. Some other rumors are that the new iPods will be flash based just like the iPhone, but chances for the same are even less than the chances of iPods going touchscreen.
The reason that iPods cannot go flash just like the iPhone is that flash memory is much expensive and even Apple will want the iPhone to stand from the crowd of its own gadgets. And moreover a 100GB or more iPod will just burn a terrible hole in your pocket as well. Are you ready to take on that damage…?
