lg-chocolate-mp3-player_58 Rejuvenated with the grand success of “Chocolate” phone, LG has decided to continue the Chocolate series in the digital music market. Their new music player UP3 Flat is just right example of their obsession with Chocolate and the hope to turn their luck in the MP3 market, where they will have to face a fierce competition from the mighty iPod and hot Zune.

Featuring Chocolate style buttons, arrow keys for music navigation, the ability to record voice and WMA, ASF, and OGG Vorbis audio codecs, the UP3 Flat connects to a computer via the USB port, but it has a retractable USB connector that slides out of the bottom instead of a cable. Even it isn’t much bigger than the size of your cigarette lighter.

The new LG MP3 also flaunts 10-hour battery life, not too bad considering the player’s small size, and is available in 512MB, 1GB and 2GB sizes that can store about 125, 250 or 500 songs respectively. The UP3 comes in a shiny and sleek, piano-black design measuring 25 x 75.4 x 9.6 mm with a mere 18.5 grams weight. The 512MB will cost about 60000 Won ($65) and will soon debut in Korea.lg-up3-music-player_58

The glistening and lustrous design of UP3 offers a nice contrast to the iPod Shuffle that may provide another cost-effective option to choose a Christmas gift for a friend or loved one.
