Extending the GT lineup of car players, Sony is all set for its new CDX-GT610U/CDX-GT616U, a CD tuner or changer controller with front panel USB input for personal audio player that allows playing all sort of music files in MP3, WMA, ACC or ATRAC formats from any type of digital source or system.
Featuring the Sony-developed DRIVE-S chassis technology to ensure superior sound quality and 4 x 50W S-MOSFET output for sufficient power to run the system, together with the precise 24-bit D/A conversion for digital audio reproduction, the latest car CD player from Sony features a flip-down front panel flaunting a 13-segment fluorescent screen for disc, track title, artist and other information.
Allowing plug and play connection, owing to the front panel’s USB socket, the latest car system also offers a Sony Walkman function that can be controlled straight from the front panel or through the small/handy remote, so back seat drivers could choose the play list from their place. The Sony CDX-GT610U/CDX-GT616U car CD player will be available sometimes in the month of January. No words on pricing.
