With Nexx NF-810 ultra slim 7mm portable media player already on the horizon, Technonia is all set for its 7.4mm thin ‘IXING TM-S3′, which basically is an improved version of its earlier S2 model. Equipped with FM radio tuner/recorder, mp3/WMA playback, USB 2.0, and hold function, the TM-S3 model features 1.5-inch full OLED display with intuitive menu and silicon casing as well. It also presents 10-band graphic equalizer to meet the specific needs of diverse users. Company is looking forward to release the slim player by the end of October at an affordable price. Close launch of ‘IXING TM-S3′ and Nexx NF-810 will certainly force a competition between the two, and it would be interesting to witness the eventual winner.

TagQrio’s new Q4 2.4 inch super compact PMP
Korea’s Qrio electronics has rolled out its new model of Portable Media Player Qrio Q4. The device touts an easy to use interface with hidden side controls and no controls on the face of the player to produce an impression of touchscreen enabled technology. This super compact PMP includes all essential specs in its glossy design that can playback popular audio and video formats. It has 4 GB of onboard flash memory but lacks in Buetooth,Wi-Fi and expansion slot. The model weighs only 64 grams and comprises 2.4 inches bright display that supports 260k colors. In contrast to other devices in its segment, it sports most of our audio plus video files and offers immense memory. Commodore’s C200 Gravel features 1.8′ OLED screen, 512MB, 1GB or 2GB of flash memory and is proficient of playing almost all media formats such as Divx, Xvid, MPEG2, MPEG4, WMV, MP3, MP4, WAV, WMA, JPG, GIF, and BMP. In addition, Wi-Fi is also incorporated and its battery features audio playback time of up to 18 hours and 2 hours of video on one charge. To contest other available products with some amendments that you might plan to buy, Blue Raven’s has introduced its new device in the market called MediaMate. This new portable media device comes with two different storage capacities to store plenty of video, that is 7040, 40GB for $380 and 7080 80GB for $430. It weighs only 1.5 pounds and measures 8 x 4.6 x 1-inches, it plays OGG, MP3, WMA files, VOB video playback and also supports AVI and MPG containers with MPEG-4 ASP and MPEG 2 efficiently if you don’t want to transcode your H.264, DivX, XviD, etc. The device also offers replaceable battery, 7-inch 480 x 234 display and stick with an Archos if you are looking ahead to record TV to your player but frankly quoting that the device does not seems quite impressive to me even if I have to shell $100 to get it.
