Tonight at the All Things Digital conference Steve Jobs was reported to have said that there are small autonomous labels, which are also signing up to get their music put for sale DRM-free. But, in his mentioning there was not idea of any other key labels that are looking forward to chip in in this mission for liberation.

So as to make use of the iTunes Plus service you will be required to make a download of iTunes 7.2, which was also brought into light on the same day. The Tomato’s new slim MP3 player ‘U24′ is not as slim as its U7 PMP but touts a good spec sheet to lure the audiophiles. It rocks a 260,000 color 2.4-inch wide LCD monitor and built-in speaker. The U24 is capable of playing 15 hours of seamless music and features an AVI movie player, voice recorder and e-book. It’s good to see a miniSD memory slot as I am always concerned about the storage capacity. The 2GB version will make you shell out 79,000(KRW) while the 4GB model is priced at 99,000(KRW).

To explore DAP market profits, Memorex electronics has taken a step ahead to introduce its MMP8640 digital media player.

This new device encompasses both MP3 and MPEG 4 media playback to support WMA-DRM protected files. It comes with 1.8″ color display that is good to surf options and for audio listening but for watching videos I think company should add some more inches to it.

Some other features of the device include a miniSD memory card slot, an integrated FM radio, 4GB memory, battery life of 20 hours and an additional protective sleeve.

The player also comes preloaded with 100 sounds but no comments about pricing and availability.
